Professionals Firearms Training Academy, Inc.

Established in 2009 by Miguel Viesca and his son Michael with the purpose of teaching responsible Law-Abiding individuals the Basic Knowledge, Skills and Attitude necessary for owning and using a firearm "SAFELY".  

PFTA courses are designed to provide a hands-on and thorough introduction to handgun safety, function, handling, and shooting skills for Personal Defense, Home Defense, Defense of Others and/or Recreational Use.

Owning and/or carrying a firearm isn't about statistics or constitutional arguments, it's not about analogies or comparisons, it's not about the gear, and to be honest, it's not even about the gun.  It's about taking a small measure of personal responsibility for our safety and the safety of our families.  It's about making it home safe at night and being safe while in our homes. It's about recognizing that we are our families' first responder - It's about taking that responsibility seriously.

Miguel Viesca - President/CEO - provides elite-level firearms ad tactical training to civilians, professionals, and public figures. Since founding PFTA, Miguel has personally instructed thousands of students across all skill levels, including numerous high-profile clients and celebrities - earning a reputation as one of the most respected instructors in the industry.

Miguel is certified by several of the most prestigious firearm facilities and instructors in the United States. His credentials include - P.O.S.T. (Peace Officer Standards and Training) Certified Firearms and Advanced Tactical Handgun Instructor, DOJ-CCW Instructor, NRA Certified Firearms Instructor and RSO (Range Safety Officer), and VCSD (Ventura County Sheriffs' Department) Approved CCW Instructor. Miguel has trained over 500 CCW permit holders in Ventura County.

In addition to his firearms expertise, Miguel holds a 3rd Degree Black Belt in American Kenpo Karate under Grand Master 10th Degree Black Belt Jesus Flores of Flores Brothers Kenpo Karate. He is also a dedicated practitioner of Filipino Martial Arts under mentorship of GM Jesus Flores, bringing a well-rounded and deeply respected martial arts background to his instruction.
